I think it's still too early to tell.

John McCain (most Likely), or Guiliani (sp?).

Hillary (sp?) and Obama will cancel each other out, and there will be no other strong Democrats to fill that void.

No respect will be gained because no matter who wins, the true "powers-that-be" pull the strings. The only way we can get back respect is to give concessions (or make apologies) for our past behavior towards those we have wronged in the past. There will be none of that, because we have an empire to run!

You can not make an omelet without cracking some eggs, and we have one hell of an omelet.

The rich get richer, and until the rest of us "get the picture", it will be more of the same.

So, sit back, and enjoy the show.

The next President of America will be the person who gets the highest votes.
He/She has to be dynamic, with Great Leadership qualities and a very good Administrator.He/ She must have very good Diplomatic Skills and be a person with a Dream.
America is a powerful nation and will regain its respect.

John McCain will be the next President because he has a good past history and his service to the country while in the military is not matched by any other prospective candidate.

I don't like your tone when you say "present lousy administration", granted Bush and his peers may not be a great or even near great administration, but come on who got Saddam!!??!?! We also didn't lose respect, if anything we gained it, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan. Anyway, on to your question.

I do not know who will be the next president of the US, because we don't know who all is running yet, or whom has won the Democrat and Republican Primaries and Caucases.

However, I have some opinions:

1. If Hillary Clinton is elected president, I am moving to Canada.

2. Although I consider myself a Republican, I will vote for Barack Obama if he adds the national decrimilization/legalization of marijuana to his podium.

3. If I had to vote today, I would vote for Rudy Giuliani.

Mitt Romney will win (with Rudy G) as his running mate and a cabinet spot promised to McCain. We will have all-new leadership. Why Romeny? Because 1) he's got Mass. and Mich. name recognition/appeal (and experience), 2) he's good-looking enough to be judged "presidential" by the women and Our Media (both inane enough to conduct themselves on appearance -- see: Bill Clinton AND I MEAN in GENERAL, don't take offense as a smart woman -- I mean the women who watch Deperate Housewives and yell at their TV because they've figured out a plot line before another one of the characters...), 3) Al Gore is the difference-maker and if he's too prissy to get in, and plays the ask me, ask me "Belle of the Ball" for too long (hoping the media attention of his slide-show will FORCE the DNC to draft him... he'll be lost. 4) The Dems post-Carter, are all about $$$ and Hollywood, and while they talk a good game about anything else, they don't actually DO ANYTHING about society's needs. There's no LBJ or FDR upon us... and so, they are easily beaten over both domestic and int'l issues at hand. The GOP will win, again.

I think it will be whoever presents a different vision for our country compared to GWB's current vision.

However, I think the issue of lost respect depends on who's respect you want. If you want European nations' respect who (except Great Britian) have done virtually nothing to stem the tide of terrorism, who needs their respect. If you want the respect of the nations' who actually influence of origins of terrorism, I think we have already got their respect.

what America has lost has been building, since the loser Jimmie Carter, the Bush Admin. has protected this country well, The only way to regain our respect is to be united, and as long as the liberals spew their garbage this will never happen.

Condi Rice for president.

I'm hoping that it will be a libertarian candidate or a member of the reform party, but since most people don't get to hear from them (due to the polarity, and sometimes subterfuge, of the Republican and Democratic parties), I seriously doubt that's going to happen.

BILL RICHARDSON, the next president should be a Democrat unless you want more americans and inocent civilians dying in a usless war. Bill knows how to handle international bussines, and has a lot of experience in the political world.

if we know what is good for us we should all vote Richardson.
