Education does not just mean school or college.
It is a part of life. For example you are reading my reply and sharing my views.
It is all about sharing views and experiences and deciding which way to opt!!
your home is where you get your first education your parents influence your behaviour to a great extent. Then, your friends...The kind of friends you have decides what kind of a man you are going to become.
Similarly, till a person dies, his education goes on..
Havent ya heard? 'Life is the best teacher'
Ps, I am writing an essay for college too..
Best of luck!!

When I was studying to be a teacher, back in the late 1980's, I had to formulate my Philosophy of Education. I don't have the exact paper I wrote handy at the moment, but the gist of it went something like this: (1) Everybody is bombarded with information every day, and some of it is important. (2) We don't always know what is imporatant and what isn't, so we pay attention to thje bits of information which seem the most interesting or useful to us at the moment. (3) Vast communities of people with accumulated years of experience have found that some bits of knowledge have turned out to be useful and important to lots of people. (4) Schools are set up to pass along these really useful bits of knowledge. (5) But, if the student sees not use for him personally, he won't take it in, (see point 2). (6) So the job of the teacher is to make the information's usefulness more obvious, and to present it in such a way as to make it interesting. (7) The actual learning is up to the student. If the stuff still doesn't hook him, there's no way a teacher can force it into his head. (8) Sometimes, we discover the usefulness of something only years later, when it suddenly fits what we need to know. So it's good for educators to lay before the student as wide a variety of information as possible, never knowing which particular bits will be a hit with which students. (9) In conclusion: For teachers, put as big a buffet of learning out there as possible, presented as attractively as you can. For students: Pick up as as you can while it's available, because you never know what'll prove useful someday.

education is understanding and examining a course material at higher level, a level you've never encountered before. it's a chance to evaluate yourself when you apply yourself not only to simulated situations, but also to reality situations.
education allows you to experience reality. it allows you to develop a sense of wisdom and gain experience and be an adult living in the world.

think abt what education does for a person- college + experience +work, what does work/job expose you to, how does it affect your lives

Education is an attempt to mold the youth of the country into good little citizens.

Funny how it doesn't work.
