I live in Florida and I am trying to figure out what extreme Parental Disinterest would be considered. Here is my case:
He hasn't seen his kids since July of 06. For 1 month, he blew off his visitations. Then, I found out that he moved to Illinois, which I only discovered via his myspace. Then he called me and told me that he moved to TX. He doesn't pay his child support, doesn't call to see how the kids (twins) are doing, nothing. No Christmas presents, nothing of the sort.
Does this qualify as Extreme Parental Disinterest from a legal standpoint? Because if so, this would be grounds to get his rights terminated, which I want to do.

Why do you want his rights terminated, do you think, other than the totally ignoring part, that him having parental rights somehow hurts the kids or do you have a man who wants to adopt them?

Yes, I'd say you qualify, but in my state he has to have a full year of no contact. Good luck.
