Tell them that after swimming there last time you developed a rash from the chlorine. This is a common problem, as they have to use tons of chemicals to keep a public pool clean because of the large amount of people using the pool. Tell them the rash was small, itchy bumps, and you had to take benedryl (an antihistamine) to relieve it. They may ask for a parent's note (you wouldn't need to see a doctor for a rash like this), but it should buy you a little time. Good luck!

For one day you can tell them that you forgot your suit and that instead you brought dry clothes for gym. This should work in a lot of scenarios but it'll only last you for one day. I'm sure you'll either deal with it or find some other excuse with your friends.

And you can't just go swimming? I'm assuming this is for gym class? Just deal with it. If you need an excuse, that means you have no reason not to, so just suck it up and swim.
