I know pilates, running, calf raises, jumping rope and bike riding all are supposed to make you a stronger rider. Can anyone else help me with anymore exercises to try?

This link has an article about rider fitness and how important it is:

And this suggests specific ways of getting fit, off the horse, but with riding in mind:

(I use yoga, aquarobics, and ti chi to improve my core stability, and muscle tone, for riding)...

Good luck and have fun!

A good rider is super strong and stable in the core and legs. Kick boxing and yoga are both good for you abs and legs. Make sure you are working on your glutes too. Lots of squats!

Any exercise to make you more balanced can help you be a better, fit rider. Try riding bareback, that makes a better rider.

If you have a round pen and a calm horse, you may want to try riding bareback (no bridle either). It's really hard at first, but in time it improves your relationship with the horse (without relying on tack so much)-plus it'll improve your balance greatly!
