The Saints I think are going to the super bowl next year because if you look at the situtation they are in, they have Reggie Bush, Deuce Mcallister, Drew Brees, and so on plus they could inprove their secondary defense with picks from the draft. They could not possibly mess this up onless a key player(Brees, Bush) gets hurt. What do you think?

I think they will be exceptional next year.

Bush is not the rookie star of this team. That belongs to a seventh rounder named Marques Colston. He definately stole the spotlight. Bush is good don't get me wrong but he is not the cornerstone to this team. Saints can do just as well without him. Brees is the biggest reason they even were contenders this year.
Don't forget the fact that Bush had several key rookie fumbles during the season and postseason.
If Brees goes down their season is over with. If Duece goes down their season is in grave danger.

Of course! The Saints were just one win away from goint to the Super Bowl this past season and seem likely to only get better. They could add one or two big-time players and their young guys will continue to improve. The team has its flaws but its great offense will carry it far. Plus QB Drew Brees' shoulder and Deuce McAllister's knee will be stronger after another off-season of rest. This years rookies including Reggie Bush, Marques Colston and Jahri Evans will have a season's experience under their belts and be that much better for it. Could go all the way!

i think of we've a large risk on the Championship. With each and all of the main additions we've had this year; James, Francis, Brooks, and the guy who'll probable be the X-element, Luis Scola, there is not any way we can't get previous the 1st around. a impressive style of human beings are over looking Scola, and that they do no longer understand how solid he definitely is. He should not be dominating in his rookie year, yet in some years, he would be a action picture star. we are deep adequate to end with the excellent checklist interior the west yet will probable p.c.. ourselves and end third. the excellent time-honored season checklist means extra to a collection like the Mavs it rather is customary with of a branch banner is the only subject of their destiny being the playoff lightweights they are going nowhere interior the postseason. in terms of exact playoff potential it rather is what concerns maximum, i think of the Rockets are the excellent. PHX became the only group status in Houston's way final season. i understand we lost to Utah, however the sequence got here all the way down to our 2 gamers taking it 7 video games vs an entire group with the tournament up between coaches being the finding out element. Jerry Sloan confirmed why he's been education a similar group for 2 an prolonged time and known an all time large, and JVG confirmed precisely the different and became fired as a effect. only like the recent slogan says; it rather is time! Time to deliver returned the championship to Houston.

The Saints are one of only a couple of the teams from this years playoffs that will stay for the most part intact. Their talent level is exceptional and can take them on a very deep playoff run if they stay healthy. The only issue I see that will determine whether or not they will be better this year is their schedule. They will have to play a much tougher schedule than last year being that they made the playoffs. Now they will have to play all the division winners as well as the other teams in their conference. Only time will tell if they benefitted from a weak schedule last year. I say not necessarily given the talent they have. In my opinion they were much better than they indicated in the NFC championship but that's why they play the games.

The Saints already have a good foundation to build on for next year, especially on offense. If they can remain healthy and add a few more playmakers on their defense, especially a good cornerback to replace Fred Thomas and some speedier run-stuffing linebackers, there is no reason why they can't be as good if not better next year. Sean Payton is an excellent coach; I think he could be the next Bill Belichek (only not as big an ******). And with the NFC being as mediocre as it is, the Saints have as good a chance as anybody to make it to the Super Bowl.

Last season was great and they were a nice story but nfl coaches know what they are getting from the saints now so I don't think you'll find them quite as successfull as last year. They are still lacking playmakers on defense. If they stay healthy they are a playoff team but before they get over that hump they need a couple of offseasons to draft and bring in free agents to build on defense, before I would think of them as a legitimate threat. They are just a new version of the colts or the bengals. Explosive on offense but it'll take them time to develop the defense that balances them. Indy found it, it still eludes the bengals, saints will find it.

I agree with you one hundred percent! As long as their skills players stay away from injuries, and they draft a good/fast CB in the first round of the draft the Saints will WIN the Super Bowl next season. Now if I can just get tickets!

As long as they draft well you have to like their chances. Bush and Colston were both rookies and will only improve. The coach has another year to improve his system.

If they can draft ready to players on defense or Oline it is going to help. Aside from the defense they could use a good Olinemen. They should pick up the guy from USC Khalil who has been an anchor on the Oline. He would improve the oline right away.

They have as good of a chance as anyone. Don't hold your breath on watching Deuce in the Big Easy next year. Saints strength of schedule for next year is similar to this years & the rookies are only gonna improve. Saints NFC champions? I'd give em 5-1 odds!
