The season's only halfway done and you're trying to ask who's gonna win the big one?

I'll say that the finals will be a rematch of last year. The Miami Heat v.s. the Dallas Mavericks. Another show down between Dirk and Wade, and it would be pretty interesting. Both Dirk and Wade had some sort of argument through the media.

First off the Mavericks are no doubt the best team in the nba right now. Just look at their record. Also they have really become a great defensive team, while maintaning their offense. They're even better than last year and are looking to win the title. Plus they have Dirk Nowitzki, who is arguably the MVP of this season.

As for the Heat, their record isn't great and are only at the 50% mark. However, they've now got Shaq back and healthy, and D-wade is playing like the wade we saw in the finals. So the team is all back and Pat Riley is finally returning. Another big help is Jason Kapono who is having a career season and just won the 3pt contest. Look for another big series between the Heat and Mavericks. And I'll take the Mavericks to win it this season.

This question is quite interesting. Since the defending champs are not quite acting like it. I see the Western Conference being more exciting during the playoffs since almost all of the good teams are there. I see the Mavs being eliminated in the 2nd round and I see Phoenix and LA in the West Finlas. In the East Finals, I see Miami and Detroit again. I see Miami winning in six games. For the West, I see Phoenix winning within 5 games.
Once the playoffs are over and the Finals have begun, excitement will take over. The Suns and the Heat are the most exciting teams to watch in their respective conferences. I'm not exactly sure as to who will win. I'm for Miami, though. I would want them to win.Phoenix is in my top 5, but Miami isin my top 3. naturally, I'd root for Miami. Plus, they have the experience. It's your pick here.

P.S. Shaq had a three-peat with the Lakers a while back. Just saying.

I know its a little bit to early to be picking who will be in the finals becasue anything could happened. But if the season ended today the teams I would pick would be Washington and Dallas. And Dallas would win in six games.

Right now I am not convince with Detroit. After last year let down, they have to prove to me that the are for real in Playoffs. Until then I am picking Washington as the team to beat in the East.

as much as i % Memphis to come again out of the west i think of your prediction is the likely at this element. I advise If the Bulls are combating the Hawks then it quite is quite not likely they'll beat Miami, especialy given the reality that James and Wade have not been to the ECF in a on an identical time as so they're going to come out the extra hungrier team. Dallas can beat the two OKC and Memphis in a 7 sport sequence.

Too much commotion about the mavericks and suns...its gonna be the sleepers' years. In the West, mavericks and suns are gonna at most last up to the semi or conference finals. I mean they're good but they remind me of the 90s Jazz (good every year but never seem to make it). Its between Houston and San Antonio, Lakers are done once Kobe gets weary during the playoffs. In the East, no question its gonna be Miami. D-troit is just eye candy in the East.

Prediction: Rockets vs Heat (Rockets, 4-2)

Hmmmm its pretty hard to say since the west is awesome this year and the east just sucks. From the west it could almost be anybody but the top 3, PHX, Dallas, San Antonio. And from the east the only two teams that dont totally blow Detroit and Miami. I really want PHX to be in it tho.

I'm going with DAL and DET, the 2 best teams in their conferences. ANd the playoffs will be a success for me if the HEAT lose in the 1st round 4-1.
