Ya know we take care of the oil companies-we provide billions to churches in "Faith Based Funding"-we send billions to Iraq to help re-build Iraq...but the Bush Adm. can't manage to take care of our Vets....

it really challenges the notion that the bush administration supports the troops.

it's all we hear from bush and his minions - support the troops - as if the war were happening so the troops would have something to do and not because very foolish people made a very serious mistake and sent them there in the first place.

what's happening at walter reed is a national disgrace and i hope that now that adults have taken over the congress once again, the corporate pigs currently at the trough will get a cattle prod in the butt and we can start taking care of the real american heroes - our troops who have been so severely abused at the hands of the bush admin...

What is going on at Walter Reed Hospital is f*cking deplorable! The Bush criminal administration can rob social security, cut funding for NASA, spend 8.4 BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH on a war that was started under false pretenses and ask congress and the American people to give him 121billion more and 21,000 more young teachers, nurses, little league coaches, dads, moms, sisters and brothers, but they can't supply the brave troops with decent hospitals to recover in! This administration is screwing you and you just sit on your hands and let them do it!

I know there's a 24-hour suicide watch on the amputee unit. The wounded soldiers who commit suicide in military hospitals after returning from Iraq are not counted in the US military death toll.

It happens...I lived in condemned barracks for a year in 97-98...Clinton was President then wasn't he...The Army did not start getting money for building newer barracks until Bush became President...oh yea Walter Reed (WRAMC) is being closed soon, so that might be the reason why the money has not been given to fix barracks...and of course the FY 07 DA budget has not been approved yet by Queen Nancy and Co...if Walter Reed was so bad, why do all the Congress go there for their medical treatment...the article that you speak of is about barracks not the hospital...no one was complaining about the soldiers living conditions and the small amount of money we were being paid when Clinton was President, but I forgot he was a Liberal...
