Don't worry about being friends with the "popular people". You should make friends with those who are friendly with you and have the same interests as you.

In my opinion, it's good to be friends with people of all social groups. Everyone is different. Everyone will respect you for not narrwoing your friendships down to people who are "popular".

It's more important to make friends with people who actually like you, not just the popular crowd. Just act like yourself, don't change yourself to fit in.

You can meet new people by joining after-school clubs or groups. Be friendly and introduce yourself to people right away. It's harder to introduce yourself after you've been in school for a few weeks, so start doing that early on.

If you're fun, nice and friendly to lots of people, then most people will like you and you'll automatically become popular.

Usually the student body ( very school spirited ) Cheerleaders and sports people are the popular group. Maybe join the girls volleyball team or some after school activities. Also see if your parent's will let you host a little party to get to know people or a slumber party with your new team.

Well..just be yourself..be you....its hard being the new person sometimes..but on the other hand..sometimes its easy because people will come and seek you out because you are new, and sometimes people want new things, new freinds...a refreshing change! Don't stress about it, you will be fine. After a week you will see that you have a whole bunch of new friends. Good luck in your new adventure :))

Hi sweety
How to be "popular"is really just to be yourself, you sound very friendly and approachable,so I really don't understand why you would concern yourself with popularity as that only is a CLICK......that girls at school make. You'll meet new friends just because your you.and if you don't..that will be because your being as fake as the "popular girls"you think you want to become.Just realx and enjoy it and be kind to ALL around you sweety.....treat others as you would want to be treated and you'll do GREAT.......best of luck to you

Um, I wouldn't so much worry about becoming "popular" but trying to make friends. Sorry but you seem shallow enough right now so yeah, I would worry about finding some friends and don't matter who they are. Don't you know anyways that the jocks become bums and losers when they're older and the geeks become the rich and successful ones!!!

Take a week or so to assess who the popular kids are. Then find out what they do. If they are cheerleaders join the cheering team, if they are always at the mall ask them if they want to go shopping etc.

be yourself, poularity in middle and high school gets you no where, it gets you a big headache and when you graduate from school, no one in the real world will care about how popular you were in school. Just be yourself.
