Think of what actually went on inside.....its a rough way to deal with delicate and IMPORTANT tissue. I think when they give time frames like that....its to cover all people, even slow healers. Which is especially important to pay attention to......lots of times if you injure your skin, the pain of injury passes before the skin totally heals, so its hard to gauge your healing progress when you cant see the damaged tissue. Just Please take his 2 week time frame to heart. There is no point on risking infection on unhealed tissue or hurting yourself. You'll be back to bliss sooner than you think!

I think it is unfortunate that you are not taking your Endometriosis diagnosis serious, it could possibly stop you from ever having children, have chronic pain and bleeding, pain during sex, along with all the emotional ups and downs of hormonal imbalance. Your reproductive organs are tender, and yes,as you stated, you have had an invasive procedure,he doesn't want you to have sex because he doesn't want infection to be introduced, thus delaying recupe time. I suffered with Endometriosis for three and one half years, constantly trying to get the bleeding and pain to stop. Well it stopped allright,I ended my experience with a total hysterectomy. That means I have no uterus, no tubes, no ovaries, and went into instant menopause at the ripe age of 27. If you want to make light of your situation, then do so,but don't ask a stupid question that common sense will tell you the answer. Ask the doctor the reasons why......................

I would suggest that while you may feel minimal discomfort, there is still a healing process that needs to occur. The precaution may not pertain to the risk of pregnancy, but the damage done while the procedure took place. If the doctor told you to abstain for 2 weeks, I'd follow their advice. The doctor isn't telling you to abstain just for laughs, there are medical reasons...

Think about it this way....if you have your throat scraped out, you shouldn't eat uncooked food for two weeks.
First off, a scraped uterus is very easy to infect...and unless you use rubbing alcohol all over your genitals before sex, sex gets germs inside you...even sex with a condom gets germs from the outside of your genitals on the inside.
second, you just had a bunch of tissue removed that was chock full of blood vessels...imagine those as pipes that are holding back from bleeding only because there are clots (clogs) stopping them up.
Sex would be like taking a plunger to those clogs, and might make you bleed in a bad way.
Honey, they just took a BLADE and SCRAPED YOUR INSIDES UP with it. You may not feel it, but there is a lot of healing to be done.
Listen to your doctor.

Ok Im taking it as you do want to get pregnant again soon, if you didnt want to get pregnant again the answer would be that its basically the easiest time EVER to get pregnant. IF you want to get pregnant again that might sound good, however you have to let your tubes and organs heal so that no infection occurs. If something happens and you were to get pregnant again soon after theres a bigger possibility that it would result in miscarriage or tubal pregnancy! So be careful and GOOD LUCK!

When they perform a D & C, they dilate your cervix in order to enter your uterus and scrape away the lining. The cervix is like the gatekeeper for your uterus, and if it isn't closed all the way it can let bacteria, which is normal flora for your vagina but NOT your uterus, in, causing a nasty infection. The two weeks is so your cervix can have time to close and get back to it's job of keeping the uterus protected. Hope this helps.

You don't want to get an infection. You don't want to put anything up there b/c an infection up there would mean bleeding when you have sex, pain and sometimes a smelly discharge. Best to wait at least 1 week but use a condom and make sure you and your partner are both clean. and two weeks before you have a man *** inside you.

You should have asked your doctor to explain why did they said you so. on the other hand whatever you don't feel the pain there is a certain medical care to avoid some type of actions according to the treatment. therefore you have to follow the doctor's instruction.
Might be for sterilization.

You need time to heal internally. Having sex could cause you to bleed. If you want to take the risk, it's your body. The doctor has a responsibiltiy to tell you these things. If you don't follow his/her instructions, that is your business. Just remember, if you have complications because you ignored his/her instructions, it's your own fault.
