Obviously a lot depends on where you live, but I'll give you something that's a problem everywhere:

Urban sprawl and impervious land contributing to flash flooding and erosion

As we continously increase the size of our cities, we inevitably lay more concrete, asphalt, etc., covering land that was once able to absorb rainfall. When it rains, water accumulates quickly in low-lying areas and will flow quite rapidly to the neareast outlet as more and more water pours into gulley, ditch, etc. (flash flooding).

Some cities have planned ahead, and have designed storm systems capable of moving this water quickly and safely. However, other cities simply allow the storm run-off to accumulate in natural creeks and streams. With high water velocity and large volumes of water, these natural creeks and streams are eroding more quickly than in the past, when the surrounding land was able to absorb rain water.

are there mountains nearby, wind and water erosion may have helped form them. same with valleys and plateaus. Also water erosion helps form rivers and lakes.
