You can buy a replacement screen and do it yourself but it is very tricky.

Hi there
Water damage is pretty near impossible to repair. Most manufacturers class it as being "beyond economical repair." This means that it costs more to repair the unit than to buy a new one.
I'd not listen to the people talking about insurance. If you were to get it insured through a phone shop, they would no doubt ask to see the phone first to check that nothing was wrong with it. And your phone has a water damage indicator both inside and outside of the phone. Anyone who's worked in a phone shop for more than a couple of weeks will spot this straight away. They will not insure it.....All other answers to this effect are also a type of insurance fraud, and not worth the hassle.
You can get a new one of these phones for £100, and most insurance through phone shops will allow you to replace your phone in the event of water/accidental damage, for a small excess fee.

Nokia offer an extended warranty on screens, i think its lifetime. But liquid damage is not covered by the warranty. most manufacturers dont cover it. There is damage to the circuit board and liquid damage will show once the phone is opened up. It leaves a residue on the board. I'd claim under insurance. A lot of household policies now cover mobiles.

I just hope u allowed the phone to dry out before u switched it back on normally when phones fall in water its normally recommended that u use a blow dryer to allow traped in the phone and around the battery area to dry out if the phone was not dried properly then well things like what your expierencing will occur
(as for insurance)
Oh and about the insurance i doubt u will have it replaced if u let them know that it fell in water its better if u said " I bought it and it neve worked"

No technician I've ever worked with will repair a water damaged phone. If you have insurance I would just get a new one.
Ewwww... you're using a phone that was in the toilet....

I would suggest paying for 'insurance' on your phone for a month. Then call your provider and get a replacement. You will pay less for it, then cancel your insurance. You will receive either the same model or the upgraded model of your current phone and you won't loose your phone number.
Cell phones are so inexpensive now that it isn't worth fixing them anymore.

i'd take it to a shop if i were you, its possible that your warranty might apply (probably not because its water damage) but if you take it apart yourself, any warranty you had before becomes completely void. it might be a really simple problem that they can fix on the spot but if not some phone shops will give you a courtesy phone (i know vodafone did) when its sent away. :)

My friend had a Nokia 6010 and he washed it with his clothes (on accident). It worked fine for him with the exception of the screen. You just have to live with it or replace it.
Good Luck!
