Never before the age of one. After that introduce yolks first and add in a little egg white gradually, so that you can see if the baby has any albumen related allergies. So, with your 13 month old it is now safe to introduce eggs. yum, yum!

Our daughter had eggs at 9 months. She loves them, and she eats them for breakfast with her daddy regularly. She is 18 months old now, and still loves them.
They tell you that due to the chance of bacteria. An older child is more able to fight bacterial infection than a younger baby is. Just make sure the eggs are very thoroughly cooked, and check with your doctor and see what they say. But if your baby likes them, why not? They are very nutritious, and high in protein. And with kids, they at times don't get enough of that due to the reluctance to eat meat.

It used to be they could have egg yolks after they were over 6 months old but wait until after 1 year to give them egg whites...if they're going to be allergic it would be to the egg whites. That's what my pediatrician told me but my youngest is now 15. Not sure if they've changed the rules on that one or not! How about trying one of those MD question sites on the internet? Best of luck to you.

i'm component to a royal allergenic sanatorium (i don't artwork in it, I pass to it) I actually have a catalogue of what's very allergenic and what isn't Eggs is on 18 months on the checklist (despite if i visit introduce it at around a twelve months - egg yolk first) - despite if i've got given my little woman a tiny piece of undeniable cake and it has cooked egg white and there replaced into no subject) Cheese and yogurt, in assessment to cows milk, could nicely be presented between 8-10 months as lactose is knocked off it quite is socks with the processing of them.

Oh...I thought egg whites were the no-no, but that the yolks were okay when they were younger. I read that you should hold off on the whites until after the first birthday. I know my niece eats eggs and she's not quite two.

You can give your baby cooked egg yolks when they start eating solids, however you shouldn't give your baby whole eggs until at least 1 year.
