First of all, I love the wordplay in your user name. Very clever.
I agree with your assessment that Mr. Limbaugh is an idiot. He just happens to be an idiot with a big following, which happens all the time.
As for people pigeon-holing you, well, that's their problem, not yours. I am a Democrat, and while I have met my share of idiot conservatives, the same is also true for liberals. There are idiots everywhere.
One of the miraculous and wonderful things about our society is that everyone gets to have their own opinion, and can shout it from the rooftops if they so desire. Just be happy we live in a country where we have those freedoms, and don't worry so much about the opinions you don't agree with. With 300M people, you are bound to find someone you cannot see eye-to-eye with, but you are also bound to find someone you can agree with. Seek them out, and ignore the rest.
Be well!

The blogbaba is anti-abortion, in fact the blogbaba is anti-murder at any age, but that position doesn't qualify you as a Republican, that just makes you human. You must be incredibly wealthy to be a Bush supporter since only the wealthiest 1-2% of our population actually benefit from anything Bush has done. Neo-con ran government exploits all but the super elite.
The blogbaba has no clue what Rush Limbaugh has, but it is certainly clear it is not anything resembling an accurate, fair or even remotely ethical grasp social responsibility. If I had to give Rush a professional label, it would be comedic lobbyist. His rhetoric has almost no basis in anything resembling fact, and I consider him the right wing version of Howard Stern.

Please people. I've read just about all the responces here so far and am very surprised.
Limbaugh is a person with strong opinions that has used those opinions to develop a following that is huge and that following is the basis for his financial support.
The main point is that he expresses his opinion. All you have to do is listen (or not) and agree (or not)...done, finished that is all.
That I see so much vitriol her against a man expressing his opinion tells me not that you don't like the man or his opinions, but that you fear the man who has opinions.
I wish there were some liberal talk show hosts out there that I could listen to. Fact is quite a few have tried to build up a listenership large enough to support the show and pay a wage, but they have failed miserably because hardly anyone wants to listen to them, and fact is they don't.
I think it is one of the most telling signs of a healthy American society that we have people of conviction willing to say what they believe in. I call that Integrity. And I can respect that regardless of the opinion, liberal or conservative.
But when I see people try to debase someone for expressing their beliefs I have to wonder what kind of America you want to have? One where only views that you agree with are allowed to be voiced? I know a place like that. It is called Korea. Seen any film of that place? Like what you see? I don't.
I believe in freedom and let me say that no matter how strongly I disagree with you, a liberal, and how vociferous I am in refuting your opinions and beliefs...I would die defending your right to express them freely.
If you ask me, Limbaugh is one example of what is great about our country. Debate his opinions with objective reality and logic...not defamation.
And no, I don't agree with him on everything he has to say. In fact I consider he stands somewhat to my left in most of my viewpoints, so you must really love me right? The difference is that I don't have millions of people hearing my opinions and that fact encourages fear based redicule.
If anyone has stuck with this rant this far, disagree, but don't ever feel that fear of an opinion is reason to take away such a powerful right.

I'm a Republican & I don't listen to Limbaugh either. I think he's a clown, not an idiot. As for BALZ, ask his girlfriend. I don't even want to know.

I know how you feel. I am anti-abortion and I support many of our president's policies. Does that make me a neofascist Nazi because a LIBERAL says so? Of course not. I listen to Rush on occasion yes, and much of what he says makes perfect sense to me. But I also find him extremely inflexible. And there are questions his listeners ask that I would have assumed he'd have answers for. But to me common sense rules. And maybe if a liberal talk show host started making sense, they'd have 20 million listeners too!
AND BY THE WAY.......Rush was right about Donovan McNabb! Completely overrated simply because he's black. Don't believe me? Look at what the Eagles did once Jeff Garcia stepped up!

i disagree that limbaugh has balz.
ed schults has challenged limbaugh to a straight up debate of the issues and limbaugh won't get within 100 miles of schultz.
guys like schultz scare limbaugh out of their wits - they are well informed, well spoken but are also earthy guys who like sports and go hunting and fishing all the time.
schultz is the voice of middle america that limbaugh pretends doesn't exist - middle left...

I think he is pretty smart, but his views are nearly dillusional. I mean it starts with his political views which are extreme to say the least and then what he said about donovan mcnabb was just ridiculous. He is funny because he was addicted to pain pills but yet he talks about drug users all the time and how moral he is and everything. I mean , I think he is basically on the air to bait people into arguing or getting angry. He is pretty absurd, but I think he is calcualting with it, so yes he has balz but on the other hand he is nearly schitzophrenic.

People forget, he's just an entertainer. I think it's funny when people take him seriously. I think Michael Moore, Keith Obermann, and Al Franken are a joke too. I can't believe people take these guys serious as an actual news source.
