My son was parked at Plymouth Sound on Tuesday 20th Feb. Between approx 6 to7 30 am he saw what he decribed as the most awsome of aircraft carriers leaving Plymoth docks. The only letters he was able to see was L12

The HMS Ocean (L12) of the Royal Navy is a Landing Platform, Helicopter Carrier.

L12 is HMS Ocean a helicopter amphibious assault ship, it was built in France and is rather like a huge roll-on roll-off car ferry for landing troops and landing craft from its huge hold and helicopters from its deck.
