No but I avoid the grates. Grates on the sidewalk freak me out. I fell in a grate one time. I will power jump over that sucker if I have to.

It's weird, but I do step over the cracks on the sidewalk...it's like my feet are bored or something.
At least I'm not the only one who does this.

No way! Yes old age superstitions can be luring, but when you really think about, has anyones mother ever broken their back, because you stepped on a crack? Maybe, but most likely not.

Yeah, I always see them and think "If you step on the crack, you'll break your mother's back". Which is silly, but I guess it's just a habit from my childhood. My husband, however, makes sure to step on them. He has mother-issues.

when I was a kid I intentionally stepped on them, to disprove the whole "step on a crack, break your mother's back" thing - then my mother broke her back!
Even though I know it's silly, I avoid stepping on cracks now! lol

No, I try to hit every one of them. What more can they do to me?

My kids on the other hand avoid them like the plague.
