If someone holds a sign that says, "STRIKE FOR GAY MARRIAGE", does that mean they are for or against it? I know I'm stupid but I really would like to know, so don't get mad at me.

I think it means that they are striking in support of same sex marriage. It's not like someone would have to strike to get people to oppose it!

The states rights declare is nonsense - witness this quote: "we are obviously very upset interior the decision. The treatment is a constitutional change. The structure defines marriage as a union between one guy and one female," said Glen Lavy, senior assistance for the agency. that is the genuine objective: to inject straight forward bigotry decrease back into the structure - i wager some human beings nevertheless have not gotten over the 14th, or that inter-racial marriage di no longer reason the republic to fall, or that gay marriage has no longer led to Canada, Spain, or everywhere else it really is criminal a minute's worth of hassle. i wager they're truly in simple terms projecting non secular fears of being smote or some thing, yet that could no longer some thing for both State or US Constitutions to problem about. Edit: Allen - this isn't the courtroom legislating - there turned right into a particular case/dispute that became tried in decrease courts, and appealed to the SC, and they ruled - how else do you assume it to artwork if unlike that? perhaps a evaluation of all the exams and balances area of civics classification is to make certain that you?

If they were against it, it would read "Strike AGAINST gay marriage"

The operative word on that sign was "FOR" not "against" therefore the person holding the sign would be "FOR" gay marriage.

It means that they are open-minded and fighting for equal rights for all people, not just the majority. As far as our "little relationships" go, if you are worried about the sanctity of marriage, look at all the "normal" straight people who are getting married for hours, days and weeks, before divorce, and then talk to me about "little relationships". You are not God, you have no right to judge anyone but yourself.

Jeremiah's Gal and Hillbilly said it all: "I'm ignorant - and I like it that way."

Hopefully they are against it because it is wrong!! Marriage is between a MAN and a WOMAN! They can have their llittle relationships but it should NOT BE HONORED AS A MARRAIGE!

It means that they are pushing yet harder for their own agenda, of pushing their abomination into our faces, where it may backfire on them in the future.
