Go to the county Assessor they can tell you who owns it and how much it is assessed at so you will know about how much it is worth if you want to buy it. The County Treasurer can tell you where the taxes are sent to since the house is empty. Where the taxes are sent to is where you will find the person who you could talk into selling it to you. Good question... the easy answer is to contact the assessor or tax collector for that county and ask them. They may have an on-line database of public records that you can even access from home.
