The doctors’ office will give you some instructions. Be sure to follow them. Usually you will have to shave the hair around the base of your scrotum, and wash really well.

Plan on sitting around watching TV for about 4 days afterward.

Then plan on a long life of worry free sex afterward. I got mine 20 years ago. I have no scar. If I didn’t tell the women I dated, they could never tell.

There is no preparation needed for this relatively simple operation which is done under local anesthesia and takes only a few minutes. There will be some little pain and some minor discomfort. If you are getting it done for preventing conception, you should continue to use other protections for atleast 1 month after the surgery and then too confirm the success by giving a semen sample for sperm count, which should be zero.

perhaps asking the urologist that will be doing the vasectomy for you on the things that you will need to do before the vasectomy. it is better as the doctor will give specific informations and explain any thing that you worry to help you worry less.

Scream out loud!!! If you cut me I will not be the last one cut!!!
No, really! "WE" do not get pregnant so it really is not our concern. There are so many ways our softer sisters can take care of this problem that it is wrong for those manhaters out there to try to make it look like we should butcher ourselves to prevent something that can not be our fault unless we are commiting rape. The pill, RU486, a IUD and even a early abortion if the bad thing happens are all that is needed. When one cuts his tubes the sperm is retained inside the body and the body must remove said sperm. This can adversly affect your immune system. Think it over and do some research before you go under the knife. Good Luck, sex should not be painful!

You could shave yourself

Would be nice to have a week off after, so that you can scratch in private

Remember to get that sterile sample done, some guys have 4 tubes
