I am a major Flames fan and am going to go with the obvious here... The flames. Like look at our team we have a power house. The best defense in the league with brad stuart, and dion phanuef a new but old craig conroy aquired puts us over the top. The one, two punch of Iggy andTanguay. We are amazing the only way we dont make it to the cup is if Kipper gets hurt and Mclennan steps in. Dont get me wrong I like the guy but hes not a solid back up.

I dont know who is going to win, but i think i know who might be in the finals:
A) Buffalo vs Vancouver
B) Buffalo vs Nashville
C) Buffalo vs Detroit
So all we know is that the Sabres will most likely make the finals. But what we dont know is that who in the west would make it.
Now here's why I think Vancouver might go to the finals:
12 season cycle: 1982, 1994, 2005-06, but becuz of lockout-2006-07
#1 Pk, #1 in the NW, have a super goaltender.
Now here's why I think Nashville might go to the finals:
Amazing offense, #1 in the whole conference, (at least, when I last checked) and has amazing energy.
Detroit might make it to the finals because:
Motor City is on the top somewhere on the standings, they have skilled players, #1 in their division

If the Devils stay healthy I'm hoping they can make a run at the Cup. However, I don't know if they could beat Anaheim or Nashville, should they meet in the Finals. NJ might have beaten ANA back in 03 but that was a completely different Ducks team.

babywarth...do you not remember last season at all???? The sabres made it to the CONFERANCE FINALS and lost in 7 GAMES to the eventual cup champions...thats enough post season experience for me... any way i gotta go with Buffalo even with all the injuries. They have depth at both ends of the ice, great keeping by Miller and Biron.
The only teams who have a chance of beating them in a 7 game series is the Ducks because they obviously have the best D in the game, and great keeping to back that up, let alone Getzlaf, Selanne, Mcdonald and others up front for them.

Although a fan of the Pens, I am going to say that the New Jersey Devils will win the Stanley Cup this year. Brodeur is playing extremely well, they have alot of experience, and their system is proven effective both in the regular season and in the playoffs.

I have to go with my Red Wings. The Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom line cannot be stopped and you don't get too many by the Wings defense corps and Dominik Hasek. If not the Wings, then either Buffalo, Anaheim or my dark horse, Minnesota. Nobody expected the Wild to go to the conference finals in '03 and nobody's expecting them to do much now...but isn't that what they said about the Oilers last year?

I know it is a total homer answer, but i truly believe the canucks have a real shot this year. They really need a first or second line center but still strong. They have been playing playyoff style hockey since christmas have for that have the best winning percentage since that time. i believe they have only lost 3 games since then. The only scary thing is that they are playing the hell out of robbie lou and if he gets hurt we are DONE.
Go Canucks Go!

If they don't run out of able bodied fill ins from Rochester, the Sabres should pull it off this year. Drury is one heck of a leader by example, which the team seems to feed off of. Most important for the game of hockey, two skating teams in the final. NO Trapping teams!! Boring!!

The trade deadline should give an idea of who is commited to trying.
There is still a quater of a season to get injured, so even the best looking team right now . . .
Did you all forget buffalo is injured out the **** . . . . keep thinkin those positive thoughts afinigenov should be back by the playoffs.
