i have the first Xbox version and i keep getting a error message that says disc is dirty or damaged but the problem is the DVD ROM is new and the game is new whatelse can be the problem

its a BRAND NEW DVDROM and BRANDNEW game never been used
i have tried more then one game

try to clean it.just do that if that donest work replace the game with the same one but a diffent cd.

I've been having that problem latley, too. Most likely the lens is dirty, so you need to clean it. Sometimes, if you unplug and replug in your xbox, it will read it.

The lens could be dirty, clean it or get a new lens.

try getting a disc cleaner ( if itspirated it wont work tho
