15 pounds or 3 months?? No way, my baby is 7 months (just under 17 pounds) and we just switched her to a crib. It wasn't even an issue of her outgrowing it yet, we just decided to finally buy a crib. I recommend using a bassinet for as long as possible if you're short on space. That was really our issue because we live in a small apartment. Honestly, the crib just takes up a lot of space.

I allowed my daughter to sleep in her basinett until it seemed too small for her (her head was getting close to the top or her feet were getting too close to the bottom) and I thought she needed more room. I don't think there is a specific age/weight. Just see how your child is growing and buy a crib a couple of weeks before you feel the basinett is becoming too small.

Usually by three months theyre just too big. The bassinet will have weight limits on the box or in the owners manual. Once they really start rolling over and moving in their sleep.

There is usually a weight limit with bassinets but usually when the baby is old enough to pull themselves up, that is when you should take them out.

I never thought about a weight limit, cuz my daughter was small to begin with. I had her in it for awhile, when she first started rolling over by herself I moved her into the crib. Right around that time she was just starting to outgrow it anyway.

Most are abotu 15 pounds. But I would also be very cautious abtou using one if the baby rolls around on their own.

15 lbs, or 3 months...at the most....wean to a crib before then just in case the crib doesn't work right away and takes more time than planned.
