P.S. If i dont solve this problem i might have to sell them, otherwise its unfair to them. : (

lol i was like that when i got my kids one each(we have 3)i would be determined not to jump but the minute they jumped i would too and it annoyed me so i got used to them by cutting long strips of cucumber this encouraged them to get closer to me calmly and eat from my hand and also desensitized me so i wouldnt keep jumping when they did i now like them coming up to me i get the kids to pick em up and put them on my lap cos if they jump alot i still jump but i am calming down as well as they are.they seem to like coming to me now cos they know i have yummy food.

One way that could make it easier for both of you is to pick them up using a small dish towel. That takes care of the prospect of you being bitten or scratched, and the both of you will gain confidence in handling. This is a tactic often used to pick up animals that have never been handled before because it reduces the stress on both of you. Hope that helps.

Good luck :)

i think u should slowly start by spending time with them then pet them. next u might wrap them in a towl and slowly lift them off the ground and into your lap ! then when u feel comfatable with u can lift them higher but put them back in your lap if your arm starts shaking. try next to still your arm!! try this , and it works because guinea pigs are always cute!!!

i was gonna say corner them.
im not sure why your arm shakes but maybe you should try pickin them up with a towel, like wrap them up in a towel.
or have someone pick them up for you and hand them to you.

Start by justing putting your hand in the cage until you get used to that.
