Yes, the TGV(FR) and the ICE(Germany) are the fastest that I've been on. I think they're about the same speed. Pretty fast and quiet. The high speed electric trains on the east coast are pretty fast too(110mph) but the TGV goes a lot faster than that.

Trains are ok - and it's really hard to hijack one to, say, Cuba or like that! I don't think the trains I rode were fast, just kinda rolling along. That was nice, though. Get to ride, don't have to worry about how to find your destination, and great cars with huge windows to look out of!

Yes I do. Like hearing the train go by when I am at my friends cabin. so relaxing hearing it.

I prefer trains over planes, too. They are so much more comfortable - but planes do getchya there faster.....

i love trains! i took the train from california to indiana when i was a kid!! love the scenery i would love to do it again!

No.... they always stink of sweaty bodies and you always end up with your nose pressed against the door.....yuk!
