On last night's episdode Chris (the jack osborne look alike) made a teletubies joke to simon and it seemed to make him angry. What was that all about???

He didn't create the Tubbies, but he was the guy with the brilliant idea to make a Teletubbies album (getting back to his background with music to start off with)...he made his first killing on this album leading him down the path to today.
My husband watched the Simon Cowell E! True Hollywood Story and they had laid it all out there. So he was able to tell me this little tidbit last night after Chris made the joke.
I just checked Curious Georgette's answer that she claims that she saw that Simon created the Tubbies on the Biography Channel. It doesn't say that anywhere. Anne Wood created the Teletubbies.

Chris was upset at Simon, because Simon dist Chris on his singing. So Chris brought up the teletubies and Simon said Chris was more like the teletubies.

Previously asked question - the answers I saw said that Simon once produced a Teletubbies christmas special or something.
But..... it is not listed on IMDB, so I'm not sure if it's true.

I could be wrong, but, teletubbies was originated in australia and that's where simon is from, I didn't catch the joke though.

Simon was one of those who came up with the idea of teletubbies years ago. It was the first step to making him well-known and wealthy but he doesn't like to talk about it. It's not his proudest moment. I would also say that it was stupid of Chris to say that. He alienated the most influential judge.

I noticed, and wondered the same thing. I have no idea. I truly believe Ryan Seacrest is gay, and Paula Abdul was whacked out on drugs last night. And Randy's makeup was horribly cakey!

Mabe Simon was more upset at calling Ryan 'Sweetheart'...but I think it was the reference to Il Divo that made him mad
