As a public medium, the internet is open equally to all users by the government.

In television, the airwaves are open to whoever wants to pay the licenses and fees to run a tv station. However, the cable companies have formed their own private distribution channels, and pay for it with advertisements and commercials.

The internet service providers are hoping that they can turn the internet into a new cable tv business. The ISP's act as a utility right now, but it's much more lucrative to be a content provider than just an ISP. The temptation is there, but the government has to protect the internet from privatization. I don't like the idea that people are steering me around on the internet, so I support net neutrality.

Honest people don't. People of low moral character will, however, in a heartbeat. These are the same people who will cheat on their taxes, cheat on their spouses, lie to get out of a jam or beat a ticket, ignore speed limits and stop signs because "they can get away with it", steal from their employers etc. Character DOES matter.

because of the natural human instinct to thrive and be successful. who out there in the world isn't ready to make a quick buck. however, some people to have high enough values to override this urge and understand the consequences of doing such things but not everyone can do this. it requires a lot of will power and inner-strength. hope this helps. good luck.

A truly honest person is honest from morning to night.
