I would like to know what US population feels about it. Apparently in the place where I live being a mistress is becoming something accepted (and even normal and love is an excuse for it) little by little and want to know if it is my country or a general situation and marriage is becoming a joke around world.

It's WRONG!!!! Children or no children, he took a vow with God to be with this women. He should have never married if he was not ready to be faithful. People accept these things better now because our society has hardly any morals left in this sad world---it disgust me!!! It's like any thing goes now!!! so sad

I don't think it's generally accepted in America. Personally, I don't believe humans are setup to be monogamous or even mono-amorous. Superisingly very few species of animals are, including the famous examples. This makes sense as it allows for a much wider spread of genes.
I really think that people are way too uptight about their physical relations, many times a little forgiveness would have saved an otherwise good marriage.

I think its not the woman you should be worried about, its the man deceiving the wife and the children. Not that I think its a nice situation, Im just giving my opinion. The mistress thinks she will gain something and the guy has everything to lose.

Lets get it right,the man would have to have money,the mistress is a bit of a freeloader(a sort of glorified prostitute). The joke is on the man when he gets found out and has to pay megga child support, then the stupid mistress gets dumped in the process because he can't afford her anymore.LOL

To me this is wrong, a married man with or without children is off limits......I know some people have no problems with a situation like this they even get into wife swapping.....that is not for me....if hubby were to cheat on me it would break my world appart... and the same for him if I were to cheat on him

I think it means the woman has committment issues and has to go after men who cannot make a committment to her. It also shows that she has no respect for herself and no self esteem.
