try using plain soap and water with a scrub brush, then dab with clean towels to remove moisture, rinse & dab again. carpet cleaners may contain chemicals that can just make it worse.

also, check the paint label for their cleaning instructions as well - sometimes they even have an 800# you can call with questions like these.

well you can try this . Normally when red wine is dropped on carpet it is lifted with white wine , So I have removed other stain´s with this method . If you would like to try thishere is what you do. pour a little white wine on the stain let soak for a few min´s , blot with kitchen roll . When you are happy and see the stain has lifted then wash that part with some of your own hair shampoo . remember always work inward´s of the stain ,like this you don´t spread the stain mark ant further . rinse well with a sponge & tepid water. Once you have removed all the suds. lay a towel with a heavy object on top this will help dry any water from the underside of the carpet , leave like this over night . don´t use your hair dryer to dry the carpet ,as sooner or later the water mark always comes to the surface . and when this happen´s just use a sponge a tepid water to clean it. hope this help´s you

Steam cleaners works well. Even those that you find in your local grocery store.
