Just do it. If you don't it won't do it on it's own. I know I feel a lot better after my house is picked up anyway. More accomplished.

Put a movie on to listen to while you clean or music (something up beat).

I also find it easier to have cleaning supplies located in each room. For instance the bathroom has toilet cleaner, tile cleaner and glass cleaner and paper towels under the sink. The kitchen has kitchen cleaner, glass cleaner and paper towels. I hid the vacuum in a guest bedroom which is easily accessible to the living room. When you clean try to zone out. This makes the time pass very quickly. Get into the same routine each time you clean, that way you can put your body on autopilot and think about other things. This can be zen like actually.

okay this is how , Pick a room that´s driving you up the wall the most. Let´s say your bedroom ,Set your alarm clock to go off in 15 min´s , see how much you can do in that time . if you think you have had enough for the day then stop. if you think you would rather carry on then do the same again set the clock for another 15 min´s you will be surprised just how much you can do . always work in the one room at a time . Never waste your time taking thing´s to there rightful home´s, leave them out side the room you are cleaning then when you finish put them where they belong . the same with the dirty clothes . they can go to the laundry basket when your finished . .and you carry on like this . So off you go nd set your clock, when you finish come back and tell us PS, Glad you finished, thank´s for coming back to tell us

Know the feeling lol.

Me and my flatmate clean up just before the landlords come to see the house lol.

If you have a partner, you can think that you do it anywhere with her and not have to be concern whether the place around you is dirty or not.

Ask your gf/wife to condition you to clean up and she in return give you the time of your life.

I have five kids and i just can't bring myself round to tidying up. It does my head in! It isn't that im lazy...love the feeling of a clean house. But hell, where do you start? I find music helps me along on the days i just can't be bothered.

Invite someone round who you want to have a good oinion of you. Also pick stuff up in bundles and put away in closed cupboards so no one can see it. You can't clean until it's tidy first otherwise you can't see the surfaces.

It's hard to get in the mood to clean. I have to have a good reason, like someone's coming over or something like that. Otherwise I just clean the bathroom & do the dishes regularly, the rest just waits & waits.

I'm going to go in there right now and do it! You and your responders have inspired me! Mostly, I feel better because I now know I'm not the only messy person in the world. Hallelujah! Honest people have come forward and admitted the dirt! Gotta go clean now. Bya!

Pass - will let you know.

I use to do it but lately not.

Think I use to play music and not turn on the computer.
