connect card to pc with card reader, then right-click icon in 'my computer' choose FAT and ignore Quick format...

Could be 1 of 3 reasons. 1. A faulty memory card. 2. The memory card may need formating. 3. Wrong type of memory card for your phone.

reformat the card in the phone. There should be an option under Memory or Memory card to "reformat".
If there is not, as stated above, you will have to get a memory card reader ($10-$20) and format at it via pc.

its probably 4 a nokia and its an mmc card? if so ull need a dv mmc card, dual voltage card, i had this prob, its annoying but aint nutin u can do!
