A celebrity is anyone who is famous. Someone could have the "15 mins of fame" and still be called a celebrity (like William Hung from American Idol, for example).

A star is someone who stays famous for eternity. Once a star, always a star.

A star has talent and is acknowledged for it. A celeb is someone whose name is known, famous for anything. Paris Hilton is a celeb but not a star, she's not famous for doing anything, just for being rich. Angelina is a talented actress (in some people's opinion at least) and someone who does a lot of work to help other people in need.

I hate them all. The only difference between them is the kind of drugs they use and maybe how much. I hope you don't idolize any of these people. They're all worthless.

celebrities are famous because of unlasting things, or just because they are rich and ridiculous. Stars are famous because they have everlasting talent and people respect them.
