The egg-white-like substance is the most fertile of the cervical mucus, but not having doesn't mean you are not ovulating. You should chart your basal body temperature. This is your resting temperature. You take it in the morning, before you even get out of bed. Over time, this will give you an idea of when you are ovulating. http://www.fertilityfriend.com offers free charting and interpretation of the charts. It's a great place to start, and even gives you email "classes" explaining how fertility and ovulation work.
Worst case scenario, you aren't ovulating. At least this way you have data to give to your doctor, enabling him to make a better decision about the next course of action to take.

A lot of women have eggwhite cervical mucus but not all. Tracking your basal body temperature is another way to find out. Or ovulation predictor kits. You just need to learn more about your body and the way it works. If you can't buy the book, then do some online research. i google everything about trying to concieve and charting bbt, ovulation prediction, cervical mucus and so much more. This is supposed to be a fun and exciting time for you and your husband! Educate yourself and you'll worry less. Good luck!

That link will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about ovulation.
Please dont cry yourself to sleep! RELAX - stress is a big factor in becoming pregnant! Keep the sex fun, too, so it doesnt seem like a chore. Get some costumes, play some games......you'll get pregnant soon! (Oh yeah, and start taking your prenatals now!)
I've also read that you should be still for at least 5 minutes after intercourse so his little guys have time to swim. Good luck!!!!!!

The egg white consistency of your cervical mucus is one sign of ovulation, but there are other signs, such as body temperature. Go to www.ovulation-calendar.net. It explains these signs. Don't give up hope!
