The niners will continue to improve each year. I would say they push for a divsion title next season. But had Turner stayed I think they would have won the NFC west (although that is a weak division).

I think it is a big blow to the team.
Norv Turner is a great offensive coordinator, not a head coach. He provided the 49ers with the perfect system and great playcalling. Lets not forget that they did gain nearly 150 yards more a game this season than last. Norv turned the blocking scheme so that Frank Gore would have an easier time. Norv allowed Alex Smith to grow as a QB. Turner is a huge blow to the 49ers Franchise. Hopefully, they will get the Bengals QB coach or stick with their own coordinators.

Guy below, he was the offensive coordinator. He gave them a great rushing offense and a pretty good passing attack with mediocre receivers and a second year QB. Their defense was a huge problem and Frank Gore did fumble in key situations. He was vital in them going 7-9 and even for a couple weeks have playoff hopes.

Losing Norv Turner hurts but they still have some talent on their offense if they can build from last year and continue to improve the 49ers could be a team to watch out for in say the next 2-3 years.

Its going to be a HUGE loss, norv turner is one of the better offensive minds in the game, he made alex smith a completely different player, but if the 49ers are smart they will keep the SAME offensive scheme, it would be too much on a young team to learn yet again another system

They weren't good with Norv but I wouldn't be concerned with their offense too much it's more their defense I would be concerned with. They have some good players on offense and any decent oc could step in and work with them but their d isn't very talented so a lot of work needs to be done on that side of the ball.

i think they'll stay with the offensive scheme but wouldnt add on to much because norv is not there...they're promotin from within the team so the next offensive coordinator knows how norv runs the offense definetly playoffs

Of course they will be great...Niners don't need that SOB traitor....It is just that some people overrate Turner cuz he has had great players when he has been OC. But as a coach, he hasn't proven he can be a winner. I bet anything he won't last long in Charger Nation...Niners will succeed just like in the 80`s and 90`s.

The Niners were not good WITH him... the fact is that San Fran will be forced to play under their 3rd or 4th Off. Coord. in the same amount of years. They keep losing their coaches. If the niners are to do anything- its because Frank Gore is a DEMON in both the running and passing game.
