Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your spine and should go see a chiropractor for an adjustment.

There are about 30 causes of arm numbness not including medication effects. Could be a pinched spinal nerve, could be a vascular issue. Obviously I am unable to diagnose you because (1.) this is outside the scope of my practice and (2.) you're online. Try stretching and slowly rotating your arm in the shoulder socket several times. Arch and stretch your neck and back as well. If you're unable to resolve this yourself, see your primary care physician.
FYI: And if I am unable to diagnose you, why would you want to listen to what these other people are telling you is wrong with you?

Feel for a pulse at your wrist of the arm that feels asleep? if its strong and steady and your finger tips are not blue, I would say you have a pinched nerve. But having been like this for 7 hours see your doctor.

Is it your left arm or your right arm, if its the left arm it could be a beginning of a stroke, and you should go to the ER, if its the right arm try standing up and putting your arm down so that the blood would flow through it.
