To live the rest of your life Blind, or Deaf; Which would you choose and why?

Blind. I know how pecious your eyesight is but having worked in nursing homes for 10 years, I know which I would rather have. Deaf people are shut in their own world. They can't join in a conversation because they lose the plot of what's going on, most people just shout at them thinking they will hear if they do that and other people ignore them because they get fed up of having to repeat themselves or having to turn and face them for every word.

Blind. I'd rather be able to hear people's voices/my surroundings and make my own picture in my head. Also, I'd rather hear laughter than see sad faces.
But if I were deaf, I could see and learn to communicate with others through Sign Language. I think life would be easier if I could see...
Wow, I guess I really don't know. GREAT question...

Sometimes I would love to be deaf. I could close my eyes and ignore the world. But I would never want to be blind.

Deaf because it would suck to not be able to see anything or anyone again ! hearing people is optional even now ! pretty crappy question though !
