It is not easy to have a license in Dubai, even if you already have a driving license from your home country, some countries are given the license without going through the test ( America, Canada...) if you have your license from an Arab country the new law say that you have to take at least 20 lessons to learn to driving rules in Dubai.Check with any driving school there.
there is a web sight for Dubai police department, you can find all the information you need.

Documents required for applying the driving license in Dubai is as follows:

-Original and copy of your passport
-No objection letter from your current sponsor, addresses to the Traffic Dept.
-Copy of the attested labor contract (attested by Ministry of Labor).
-Copy of the commercial license of the establishment, where you are working for.
-Copy of your driving license if any. (If you are holding a valid D/L of any GCC or European countries, it will worth)
-Relevant application form and photographs.
-Fee

Contact the Traffic dept located in Deira or Bur Dubai, with all the above documents for further procedures. Once you got the approval you have to undergo for an eye test first. After that the dept will issue learning permit (leaner's license) for you. These are the initial procedures.

Go ahead, good luck..

Judging how they drive over there, I don't think any of them have a license. They are crazy drivers.

You could try online. Contact the Dubai motor vehicle department and see what they say.

Go to the nearest or best driving school, ask them.
If you have a license from some other country, then you can probably just give a test and get your UAE license.
If not, you'll have to take a course, I think.
