My period is 4 days late. On Tuesday I took a Clear Blue Easy test and I got a light positive line. On Wednesday I took a First Response test and got a negative. What should I do? Is testing from your stream or a cup more accurate? Please Help

In my opinion a first response picks up the best, but a positive means you are or were pregnant! This happened to me with a chemical pregnancy! You can search chemical pregnancy and it will explain everything, but on you, the first response might have not picked up, so test again with another clear blue easy or take a blood test! You are or were pregnant! Good luck, I hope you are!!!!!!!! Take another test or do blood test! Search chemical pregnancy though, because this does happen just like this with one! Best wishes!

I always tested from a cup because I was afraid I wouldn't get enough from the stream. I don't think that really matters.

Unless you let the first test sit more than ten minutes, I would say the positive is correct. False positives are rare; false negatives are common. Give it a day or two and try again, but I would expect you to see another positive.

There's a higher concentrate of the pregnancy hormone in the first urine after you wake up, so use that to test with. Cup or stream doesn't matter, however it is more likely to get a false negative than a false positive. Give yourself another couple of days and try again, using the "first pee" and if you still have contradicting answers, go see your doctor.

Good luck!

I would recommend u try another home test and do it in the morning they say if u do so it contains the higher number of pregnancy hormone level and so i could say try it 1 more time and if u get a negative then go to a clinic and get a test done their u might feel better having someone professionally having it done 4 u
good luck and best wishes !!

I would suggest testing from a cup to make sure you get the tip fully wet.Always test first thing in the morning beucase thats when the hormone presence is at its highest. Also, get a digital test, they come with two tests and it will say pregnant or not pregnant,so there is no line guessing. It you are still unsure after another test, you should see your Dr. for a blood test.Good luck!

Neither stream or cup are accurate. A doctor is the most accurate. You should make an appointment and maybe double check with a different doctor if the first one is wrong.

It may just be that there isn't enough hormone in your urine yet depending on when you conceived. The two tests are different and may not be equally accurate. Test once, test twice, test three times. Good luck!

My advice is to go to the health department if you are not having much luck with the home pregnancy test. It is very important that you find out as soon as possible. Good Luck
