Or is he just going to become just like one of the liberal sissy politicans he hates & wait until his term ends so he can just slowly walk away from the monumental mess he created?

HELLO?

Anybody in there?

bush has already stated, many times, very clearly, that the mess he himself created will be waiting for the next (legitimate) President to clean up.

His plan probably included bringing the troops home around the spring of 2008 so it would bolster the republican party in the 2008 elections.

The Democrat hopefuls for 2008 sense this and are promising to get legislation passed that guarantees the troops will be home by... you guessed it... spring of 2008.

By the way, expect the Iraqi government to ask us to keep a base there, or even offer to host a base there. Chances are we will maintain a presence there, but as invited guests.

so many people think that as soon as the going gets rough, and people start dying, we should give up and walk away. but if we do that, we make all that loss of life a waste. we really need to stand strong and keep working at it. that will make those lives worth something.

and i know im going to get flamed for this, but i just wanted to say that.

I think United States will keep its presence in Iraq for at least 25 years more no matter what happens.

He'll leave the mess for someone else to clean up. If we have any troops left....and the equipment they need. Or..he could just pull another 'mission accomplished' stunt.

The Brits have withdrawn their troops. It is now a civil war. We never should have gotten involved in the first place. Who cares why the troops leave? Just bring them home.

He's not gonna be removing 'em - when will you Weak Sisters get that through your heads?!?

That's why Queen Hillary the Great demanded that he have them out before she resumes her rightful place on the throne. After all, SHE doesn't want to be seen to be responsible for what's gonna happen after they're withdrawn. 'Course, she doesn't want to be seen to be responsible for anything else, either, but then that's another story altogether, isn't it?
