I need my records for employment and all the internet sites require payment. Is this necessary?

Most employment records checks require the MIMIMUM standard check through the local police department or law enforcement agency.

"Criminal History" checks are a totally different issue and are strongly protected against public view. As such, those "criminal history" checks you see on the internet are NOT what you think they are....other than a waste of money!

Your prospective employer should have provided you with a standard form to take to the local police which will conduct a check for you and sign off on it!

Best wishes!
