For the past five days I have been a little nauseas all day. Plus, I am thinking I am a week late. I have been more tired than usual as well for these past like two or three weeks but, I'm not sure if that is just normal. The nausea is very light all morning but, it lets me know that it's there every now and a again. I took a test last night and it's one with -- if you aren't pregnant and -|- if you are. Basically the plus and minus signs. Well, I took one and mine came up with a very strong vertical line ( | ) and a very faint horizontal ( - )line in the background...does that mean I am?

Most likely yes! Even a faint line is positive.

The pregnancy hormone gets stronger as the baby grows. So if you are very early in the pregnant and you took the test later in the day you would have had a low hormone level.

If you do not want to wait for a doctor appointment, get another test (ones from the dollar store work just fine) and use first thing in the morning when you have the most of the hormone stored up.

Good luck!

I took a pregnancy test the first day of my missed period and came up with a VERY FAINT line and quickly scheduled an appointment for the doctor to get a blood test taken. The results showed up POSITIVE and I later found out that I was pregnant with TWINS. This is my very first pregnancy and I'm now 32 weeks along. My FIRST symptoms of pregnancy were none at all, not even any period symptoms. No breast tenderness, crankiness, bloating, cramping, nothing... which struck me as odd. So don't look for certain symptoms, everyone is different so don't even base it on what I say!! Just look for 'changes' in your body. Although I will tell you that my preggo symptoms DID come but not until my 2nd month and they came on full force. I guess because I had twins, but I don't know.

Good Luck!! I would suggest another at home test AND go to the doctor to get a blood test. That is really the only method that is surefire and never wrong!

I was 6 weeks pregnant and I never knew until I went into the doctors for birth control. I only had a little nausea, so I didn't think much of it. My period was never on the same schedule, so I didn't realize any change. Just go to the hospital and go check it out. I wouldn't spend any more worthless money on those tests, go to the hospital and find out through the blood test because it's more accurate. A friend of mine had like 5 urine samples done at least and they all turned out engative and after about 6 weeks of doing so, she had a blood test and it came out to be that she was 4 months along. Just don't be too cautious.

my guess is you probably are, take another test that is more expensive or go to the health department. When i took my test the first line was very faint and the second line came in clear. Guess what...........i was pregnant and didnt think so at the time. Good Luck!~! Also, if you are having symptoms you may want to find out for sure.
