Hate cheerleaders? What heterosexual man in his right mind would hate cheerleaders? Nothing like a little eye candy at a ballgame. I love cheerleaders!

Well, I don't hate cheerleaders so much, but....

I do believe people can get annoyed with the whole "cute perky girl" thing, wherein that endless smiling and cheering and the whole "look at me" business starts to grate on the nerves. Never mind that *that* is what they're *there* for.

I also think that there is some stereotyping going on though, that when people hear the *word* cheerleader, they automatically think of some blonde, sort of spacey girl from the suburbs who has nothing to worry about but being cute and perky, Like Oh My Gawd Becky....when, well, that isn't always so.

Besides....since when is "cute and perky" a bad thing?? ^_^ I know, worst question ever, but yeah, I hear you....

The truth is: Cheerleaders are what they are because most schools can't find any other way to *have* classes in gymnastics and acrobatics and dance past *early* grade school these days. If then. Cheerleading is a team sport for those who really have no business playing football. But that doesn't make them any less of an athlete, it just gives them baggage courtesy of the rest of society.....

(ok....now will Hayden Panetierre *please* stop stalking me?? gawd, I did what you wanted.....*lol*)

First of all, people do not hate cheerleaders. Some girls may be jealous of cheerleaders, and some cheerleaders may be stuck up, but both are exceptions rather than the rule.

Speaking from a male prospective, I can say that most guys like cheerleaders

I dislike cheerleaders. Even though my mom was one and my older sister was one. And it wasn't because they were more popular than me, I was the class jock. I will say that most cheerleaders are stuck up. Not all, but most. They think what they do is a sport, yet they hate when they have to do intense physical activity. The only part of cheerleading that is a sport is when they flips. Since that part is gymnastics. But when they stand there and say a cheer and clap, that is not a sport. I can do that in the stands.

I think that people hate the *idea* of cheerleaders more than the cheerleaders themselves. I dislike the sport of cheerleading because of it's need to make every uniform skimpy and revealing. A few of the guys that posted on the first page proved my point. They think of cheerleaders of "eye candy" rather than people, and that's degrading to women.

They may hate them for several reasons. They might have been rejected by popular girs, such as cheerleaders. Oftentimes, some cheerleaders are not accepting of others and come off as "better-than-thou". But oftentimes, it's just a self-esteem issue with the person in question.

I believe it's the stereotype of "all cheerleaders are bitchy sluts from hell" thing.
There are only 2 cheerleaders that i've met that I didn't like... and they fit the stereotype. most are ctually very nice.
