"Strippers" Or exotci dancers, n ormally wear a 4inch plus heel.

For every inch added to the "heel" another is added to teh platform.

So if you are wearing a 6 inch heel, you have a 2 inch platform.

Strippers shoes are more comforatable than regular "dress" shoes because of the extra pig suede for the padding. The reason for it, is because women generally work a 6-10 hour shift in these shoes.

Contrary to popular belife they are ment to walk, dance, and you can run in them (if you have the balance.

The most common colors are patent leather red, black, white, babyb blue, baby pink, and clear. They have all sorts of other colors and patterns, and even offer a shoe that you can tip directly into (instead of the T-back)

www.snaz75.com off a HUGH assort of "stripper" shoes for fairly cheap. The averge 6 inch shoe will cost about 30, here its about 20. and the average 8 inch plus normally runs about 70-80 dollars, at snaz its about 40-50.

The reason these shoes cost so much is how they are built. A true stripper shoe is normally one peice (the shoe, not the straps sole, or any extras you add to it) to ensure that when you come off the pole, the heel doesn't break or gets wooblly. They are built to last a LONG time and take alot of stress.

There are also differnt types of heels. Anywhere from stelleto points to cone heels to "chunks" and wedges for the less than graceful dancer. The Thinnest type of heels normally don't exceed a hight of 5 inches because you can't put a platform on them (since its easy to dance when your foot is at a 4 inch arch than a 6 inch one)so they are lower and more "fetishy" but the medium width stelltos and the most popular among dancers. They are thin enough to look sexy, yet thick enough to maintan balance while danceing. The chucks are usually those shoes with a hight of 6inch or more. and wedges rarely go over 5 inchs.

There are boots, thigh highs, slip ons (not recomonded for stage work!!!!)ankle boots, and of course fetish shoes which are only ment for looks (look up ballet stilleto)

Good luck!!

Strippers wear what is commonly referred to as f*** me shoes. They are usually strippy sandals with an incredibly high heel. They are not made to walk in. They are made to be worn briefly and then removed.
