America has gone from one of the most beloved nations to one of the most despised because of recent years. Pulling out of a war completely leaves americans suceptible, yet continuing it will only destroy American image further. What can we realistcally do to bring back the "good times"?

This is a tough one. I know I'd personally (as a Canadian - it's not very foreign but we've got our share of American hate-on) like to see more honest government elected officials, and the people showing more interest in how the country is being run. I'd like to see the media tone down their scare tactics and fluff pieces and make a better attempt to educate Americans, particularly about events happening outside the country. Finally, less flag-waving please; patriotism looks like hatred from the other side of the border.
(I'd like to see these changes in Canada and the rest of the world too)

Pull out the Troops and bring them home immediately and claim that we had a huge Victory in Iraq merely by deposing Saddam Hussein and having the First Free Election in their four thousand year history!
That should certainly be sufficient to crow about!
Then let the Sunnis and Shitties resolve their own religious differences by themselves!
Our troops should not need to die for them!

I think America can only restore its image by Nuking every other nation out of existence and starting over fresh with whatever cultures we see fit to put on their glowing soils
