or is it a BS, because it is Political "Science"? I've seen it done both ways, which is considered to be most correct.

Almost everyone i know that has majored in polisci, including myself, have came away with a BA, since it is considered a social science. However, there are rare schools that offer it as a BS. I've heard rumors about this, but cannot verify it first hand because i've never seen anyone with a BS in polisci, only random rumors. It really doesn't make a difference because a BS and BA are equal really.

Nearly all are BA's. I've seen a few random schools that have it as a BS, but the overwhelming majority I've seen are BAs.

You have which ever one applies at school where the degree was conferred.
