Here's a secret...
Most Optometrists have free sample colored contacts. Tell them that you've never worn them before and you would like to try them before you spend your money.
Just a bit of advice...Don't wear any when you go in to ask for the free ones. ;)
You can get a pair at a time but you'll have to buy them eventually.

I really would like to say the downtown la fashion district, but I don't want to suggest anyplace where you don't need a prescription from your doctor. Go get your eyes checked or talk to your optometrist. That is the best way to get colored contacts.

your best bet is to buy them online. i got mine for $30 for a set of 6. you'll find them for that price all over the net
