I don't know alot about computers so bear with me. I downloaded spybot search and destroy. I scanned with it and it said Microsoft windows security internet explorer, microsoft internet security center firewall disabled. What does that mean? Does it think these are viruses? I'm afraid to delete it because I don't want it to erase my browser.

No it just means that notifications were disabled!!! If you go into Settings and Security Center and Change the Way Security Center Alerts Me you can check On or Off whether Microsoft automatically alerts you that updates are on or off. All Spybot is griping about is that they're off, which is okay!

SpyBot is a great program.
I take it you are using XP, it has a firewall. Not a good one, but better than nothing.
It should be enabled until you get a better one.
I can recommend Sygate Firewall and Kerio Firewall, both good .

Hope this helps.

Just have Spybot fix it. Check the box and then click the button. Nothing will happen to your browser.

No, it just said that your computer is insecure, you must enable some protection for the Explorer.

Open Control Panel -> Internet option here you can adjust the security when you use your PC for browsing

Open Control Panel -> Windows Fire wall protect your windows from attacking wares.
