since then? and what were you doing when you heard the sad news?

for me, my nephew was born on aug 29, 1997, a day before. every year the day after his birthday i light up a candle in memory of the late princess. in my opinion she was very educated, well liked and easy to view. it is sad what happen to her and her children having to be brought up without a mother. and even though i will never understand the royal family or their ways of dealing with live, as a mother, i would hate to see my children going through that kind of grief in such an early age.

I saw the news at 6:30am when I came down for a coffee. Couldn't believe it and burst into tears. It was really miserable outside, pouring down with rain, and I sniffled through the depressing day, feeling sorry for Diana, her kids, Dodi and his family. It wasn't a case of joining in with mass hysteria. I just knew how I felt. She was one of us, never afraid to get her hands dirty or stop and talk to people sleeping rough. Since then, my own beautiful mother has passed away and although I was an adult when she passed, I still miss her desperately. Diana's sons didn't have her for very long
