My dwarf gourami is starting to build a bubble nest in my main aquarium !

So my question2 to you are :

1. Is this ok to go on in the main tank ?
2. Does this mean it must be going to have babies with one of my other dwarf gouramis, or do they build nests even if they dont have a mate.

It won't hurt anything for him to build a nest in the main tank. He will guard it and chase other fish away, but unless he beats on them quite a bit it's not a problem.

He may build a nest even with no female in the tank. Loo closely at the other dwarf gouramis in the tank though and see if there is a female. The females will be slightly filler in the stomach than the males, often have more subdued colors but most importantly will have shorter and more rounded dorasal and anal fins (the long fins at the top and bottom of the fish.

If you want to raise babies you will need to move him to another tank and allow him to build his nest there. Then add the female, much like breeding bettas. If you need any more info on how to do that, post another question or drop me a line.

It's unlikely you have any female dwarf gourami. As they are best described as small, and grey. It's much more rare for a dwarf gourami to build a nest unless they have a mate(s) than say betta, but it happens. I wouldn't worry as it's harmless unless the gourami starts bullying other dwarfs too much. (The males tend towards mild aggression towards other dwarf gourami male, and female.)

gouramis are cousins to bettas -- they build bubble nests and hang out and wait for a girl to come by. depending on the kind of dwarf gourami you have the females are usually very pale and easy to spot. if you think you have gouramis that are mating and you want to save the fry its very similar to breeding bettas -- there is a ton of information on the internet -- just google breeding gouramis.

Nest building is normally a male trait but some females have been known to build nests as well. It means either they are currently happy with the living conditions or their is female they are trying to impress for mating.

That is a normal behavior for them. Unless you have a male and a female in the tank there won't be any breeding going on.

This is normal, and will not bother your other fish. They may have babies, but they don't always, when they build the nest

Like everyone else said, it won't harm any of your fish, and no he's probably not going to breed. But it does mean he's happy, so keep up the good work!! :)
