Sorry for all these questions, but I cannot respond to my own questions. Any sane person knows that NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, justifies racial classifications.

On the other hand, I believe there are sound reasons for gender classification in contact sports. First, men, on average, are simply physically stronger and more physically aggressive than women. That fact alone justifies gender classification on the non-professional level.

So what if a woman is good enough to play against guys. On the professional level, I believe she should be allowed to play (but I highly doubt a woman will ever be able to compete against elite male athletes).

But on the amateur level, there is no reason to have women competing in physical contact sports with men. They have their own leagues and equal opportunities. Plus, guys don't want to be playing against women; we like to measure our bodies and physical strength against other men, not women. What is wrong with that?

eh, like i've said before, if she can actually cut it and actually compete--at any level, why not let her? if she can't... she can find somewhere else to play. men are usually physically stronger, but there's always exceptions. you've said yourself that there's a different level of competition (diff words) so maybe she wants that.

Men and women are built different and they both carry various strengths, physical strength however is not something that is equal. Men's bodies are built to do physical labor, women's bodies can be close but will never surpass men, no matter what they do. It's more of a women's liberation thinking that they can do anything unfortunately they can't (unless they take male hormones).

Nothing is wrong with that. I like my women's gym because I don't want to be around the guys. Guys like their "boy's only" sports because they don't want to play with the chicks. I can dig that. My honey plays with the guys all the time. It doesn't bother me at all.

I think some women have gotten carried away with the "equality" fight - and can't see that sometimes equal but separate is truly better than equal and all the same.

just gonna address your first paragraph because I'm tired of writing.

If affirmative action is justified in the workplace, why isn't it in the NBA? Why shouldn't short white guys not reflect the percentages of the population in general? Who cares if they are the best qualified for the job? That hasn't -for some time - been a consideration in the hiring of government personnel.

There is nothing wrong with that. Men shouldn't have to interact with women in sports and same vice versa. It creates too many distractions. Like guys being to busy looking at women instead of concentrating on the game.

Many individuals can be as strong and physically aggressive as you are if they work and try hard enough.

I'm guessing a lot of women right now really want to kick your *** and probably think they can.

Don't cross 'em my friend.
