The main strategies included:
1 - Publishing writings criticising and analysing the prevailing cultural assumptions about women.
2 - Building grassroots organizations to express women's political views on both specific and general issues.
3 - Activism toward the academy and the state to implement policies, regulations and laws that address perceived imbalances between men and women in the public sphere.
4 - Demonstrations on hot-button issues although this tactic became less common after the mid-seventies.
Also, there was more than one "Women's Liberation" organization. It's misleading to speak as if there was THE movement only.

One of the main strategies, and one that gained a lot of media attention, was women burning their bras. I am not sure if this achieved much, women today still wear bras...

To screw over future generations of women, now we all have to work to make ends meet! not only do we have to work outside the homes we have to still do the things that our grandmothers did. I think in the 50's the family was stronger now we have a big screwed up mess here! S a few lesbian women wanted to be like men ruined the good life for all other women.

John (above me) has a great answer that should get you started. Remember though that the 'women's liberation movement' was carved out of the civil rights movement (it's political 'activist' predecessor).
